Birthday Book Club
Students are invited to participate in the school's Birthday Book Club
For $8, the child will choose a hardcover non-circulated book. A nameplate with the child's name class and current year's birth date will be added to the book. The child gets the opportunity to check the book out first and gets a small bag of candy to share with classmates. Parents or guests are invited to come read the birthday book for children in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Birthdays in Grades 2-8 are celebrated once a month. Books are presented and candy is passed out. Half-birthdays are celebrated for late May, June, July and early August birthdays.
This has been a popular way to get new books for the library and to recognize students' birthdays at school.

Book Fairs
The library hosts three Scholastic Book Fairs a year. The first two coincide with Parent/Teacher Conferences in the fall and spring and are held primarily to fund the purchase of new books for the library and school. The third fair is held in May and is a BO/GO fair. The school does not get a financial profit from this fair since the buyers are getting a free book for every book they buy. This event is to promote summer reading and to thank all of you for supporting the library throughout the year.
